Step 1: Check Your Benefit Status
Do you or a member of your household claim any of the following benefits?
- Universal Credit
- Pension Credit (Guarantee or Savings Credit)
- Child Tax Credit or Working Tax Credit
- Income Support
- Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance (JSA)
- Income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)

Step 2: Check Your Income
Even when you are not receiving benefits, you might still be eligible under the Local Authority Flexibility (LA Flex) scheme if your income is £31,000 or below per year.
Step 3: EPC Rating
You have to be the homeowner and your house should be rated Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) D, E, F, or G.
